In short

No account, no cookies, no ads. Each check is logged on our server for 90 days, with your IP address, to fix problems and understand how the site is used.

What you enter

The listing (link, details, screenshots) and your answers are saved in your browser only, so a refresh doesn't lose them. "Start over" deletes them.

To read screenshots and for Mamie's review, they pass through our server to an AI service based in the United States, with the safeguards GDPR requires for transfers outside the EU. The AI service may keep them for a limited time under its own terms. Screenshot images are never stored by this site; what is read from them is logged like the rest (below).

Legal basis: you ask for the check, so we process what's needed to give it.

Server logs

For each request, our server logs the date, your IP address and browser, what you sent (the listing link and details, seller information, notes, your answers about your budget and situation, the number and size of screenshots) and the result (scores, verdict, Mamie's review, errors). Our web server also logs visits to the site (IP address, page, browser).

Why: to fix problems, prevent abuse and understand how the site is used, to improve it.

Logs are kept 90 days, then deleted automatically. Only the site's editor can read them. They are never sold or shared.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running, securing and improving the site. You can object at any time (see Your rights).

Your IP address

To keep the site free, Mamie's reviews are limited per day. Your IP address is counted in the server's memory for that, and it also appears in the logs above.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in preventing abuse.

Listing photos

Listing photos load directly from the marketplace's servers, which see your IP address, as when you browse the marketplace. We don't send them the page you're on.

Hosting

OVH SAS, in France (EU).

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to its use. As there are no accounts, give us your IP address and the approximate date and time so we can find the matching log lines. You can also complain to the CNIL (cnil.fr).
